Acer’s new 4.8 inch Android smartphone looks good, but what is it called?

Acer is bringing some heat with a new Android powered smartphone that will have a 4.8 inch 1024 x 480 screen. Powered by a 1 GHz processor and a sporting an 8mp Camera on the rear, and a 2mp camera up front, the new nameless Acer will compete with the likes of the Dell Streak whether it wants to or not. The 5 inch screened Dell Streak, which is solely labeled a Tablet, is ample sized phone as well. Still pocket able, but more than a chunk of embarrassment holding to your ear when a phone call comes in. The Acer 4.8 screen is going to be marketed as “100% Smartphone, 100% Tablet. I think the 4.8 inch screen Acer might be able to pull off what the Streak cannot with it’s smaller screen which is only just larger than the 4.3 inch screen smartphones by HTC.

100% of the Acer Smartphone/Tablet (Smartablet?) is due out April 2011. Stay tuned and we will keep you posted with a name and a solid release date for this Android Powered Acer device. Press release to follow:
