BitTorrent’s new local sync tool called Sync

The folks over at BitTorrent are working on a new product they call Sync. The idea behind this is to simply have a copy of the same files across multiple devices and machines. There are a ton of apps in existence that offer this same service, but they tend to be either expensive to obtain or require a good bit of expertise to configure correctly.

Also to be noted, Sync will not offer cloud duplication, this is just a device to device solution on the same network.

Sync reminds me of the first go around of Microsoft mesh. So what’s BitTorrent’s, to be quiet honest I am not sure, but I am keeping an eye on this, it may be a good companion to Skydrive someday.
