The Galaxy Tab is said to have dual- band (2.4GHz and 5.8GHz) 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi capable of 150Mbps. It also has GSM 1900 radio frequency which is the frequency that ATT uses which means that it could be headed for ATT once it launches.

Seems like ATT is stepping up in the tablet market since they already have the iPad, Dell Streak and now the Samsung Galaxy Tab? I wonder why none of the other cell phone companies are stepping up to get the these tablet computers.

[Via Engadget]

Edit: Just saw a BGR post with the Samsung Galaxy Tab on Verizon computers. I guess so far ATT and Verizon have jumped on board for the Galaxy Tab

Google is calling this feature “Priority Inbox” and should start rolling out to all users starting Tuesday. This is only a experimental or beta test by Google. From Reuters:

The motivation behind Priority Inbox is Google’s conviction that the problem of e-mail overload continues getting worse, forcing people to spend much time and effort managing their inbox both for personal and work-related matters.

Priority Inbox is an additional, optional view of inbox messages. People who choose it can toggle back to other more conventional views,

This will be a pretty interesting feature and I think it would be a really helpful feature for those who get a ton of emails. I am not sure how the bots will pick which emails are important but I am sure Google has figured out some kind of algorithm to make sure they get it right and hopefully I can test it for myself tomorrow.

What are your thoughts on this new feature?

Here is another cool windows phone 7 app called Roboprint. This app allows users to print to any printer any where as long as you install a small app on the computer that is attached to the printer. They currently have an android version of this app and they also have a WP7 coming soon. (Android Version)

A full featured printing application that will allow users to print from 3G or WiFi to any network connected printer, anywhere in the world. Print your emails, web pages, documents, whatever, wherever.

This sounds pretty cool and I could see a really huge use for this app. I could have an email printed out at work while I am on my way to work and have it waiting there for me so I can just rush into my meeting. Also you could be sitting on the couch browsing the internet and see something interesting that you wanted to print out you could print it right away and not have wait till you get on a computer. Also with this app you don’t need to get any special WiFi printer or anything like that. So whatever printer you have right now should work just fine.

Seems to have a really nice use of the interface tiles and has some good features where you can narrow your search criteria based on number of rooms, bathrooms, car garages, view photos, maps, contact Realtor and few other things. Its only a two minute video of the app.

Today Apple sent out musical themed invitations for an event it is hosting next Wednesday on September 1st. The invitation does not say anything about what will be announced but the only clue that we have right now is this image.

Possible guesses of what could be announced? Maybe a new iTouch that has all the same exact features of the iPhone 4 except it lacks the phone functionality? Maybe Apple TV? or a new cloud based music service?

What are your guesses on what they will announce? Let us know in the comments.

Here are his relevant twitter posts.

@HTC LEO-S [HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCSensor\GSensor] “KBDSlideOut_To_Stop_GSensor”=dword:00000001 “IsKBRotateBackPortrait”=dword:00000001

@HTC Leo-S should be a Leo with KEYBOARD (3.01.405.T1), normal @HTC HD2 will get upgrade 1.78.911.1 with OS 5.2.21905.5.0.93

I really hope this is true because this would make the HD2 my device of choice for sure. I am not willing to make the move to a virtual keyboard unless I really need to which seems more than likely since most phones now are coming with virtual keyboards only.

 And as the current HD2 button layout does not meet the specs for a WP7 phone, what can this mean. An HD2 w/KB and 6.5.X? Now that would be something.

 Possibly.... but I am almost 100% sure someone on XDA will figure out how to remap the buttons and get WP7 onto a HD2. So i wont have a problem even if it does not get windows 7 officially.

 Many new Android phones have keyboards attached. And, from the looks of the Droid 2, they learned how to make pretty good keyboards as well.

Though I think the standard should be the Fuze's keyboard. Five rows, numpad number keys, and a top row of punctuation with plenty of function keys. And, unlike the Touch Pro 2, a properly located backspace button.

 Yeah, I have a touch pro 2 right now and I totally love the keyboard I love it more than the fuze because it is more spacious obviously since the phone is bigger and yeah android has some phones with a keyboard but I just have not seen one that i like yet. Hoping something along the lines of the HD2 or EVO with a 4.3 ish screen and physical keyboard would be a killer phone for me.

 Hopefully HTC is smart enough to rearrange the buttons so that they are compatible with a WP7 upgrade. They should be starting up on on WP7 hardware anyway. Seems like a really easy decision to me. This is if HTC hasn't had this on the burner since before MWC 2010.

This is speculation is all based on the mere fact that sales quotas for the month of June are apparently sky high which could only mean that the new iPhone is set to come out some time in June. BGR also says that the release of the device would have to be somewhere in the middle of the month because if the launch was towards the end then the stores would not be able to meet the 25%-30% increase in the quotas that they see for the month of June.

According to the AndroidGuy’s anonymous tipster, the Samsung i897, an Android 2.1 device rocking some decent specs, is on its way to AT&T’s shelves, though this hasn’t been confirmed by AT&T. Details of the phone are murky but it may have a 4″ AMOLED display, a 5mp camera and a Snapdragon processor, presumably 1GHz. They speculate that it will be similar to the Samsung Galaxy S which weighs 4.2oz, is 9.9mm thick, sports a 1500mAh battery, full multitouch and 32GB MicroSD support.

That’s good news for AT&T subscribers in light of the announcement that the Nexus One’s, including the AT&T-compatible model, being pulled from Google’s online store — which still hasn’t happened by the way — and also good because if this hits AT&T their subscribers may be able to get a more digestible contract-based price for it, though don’t expect that to be wildly cheap.

A step up from the POS Motorola Backflip they’re selling but hopefully AT&T won’t cripple this phone like they did with the Backflip from allowing users to install software from any source and hopefully they won’t crap it up with the AT&T bloat we’re all too accustomed to receiving. And hopefully someone will figure out how to root the thing soon because that’s what life is all about for us, isn’t it.

Android is spreading pretty fast these days; let’s see how their sales fair against Apple devices, if Google can hold its lead, once the iPhone HD hits. Place your bets.

 To say that the moto backflip was crippled is to infer that it had some functional purpose when it was created, which I can not agree with in any way. I will say that the screen on the Galaxy is pretty sexy. I'm going to do some looking into this thing when more hard info comes out, but may be a candidate for my current handset quest...
