First Windows 8 Build 7850 Leaked!!

Seems like an early build version of Windows 8 has slipped through the cracks at Microsoft and made its way to the internet this according to a post at neowin.com. It is currently only being hosted on a private FTP but it is only a matter of time before we can all download it on a torrent site. The build that was is released is the final M1 and last 6.1 build (6.1.7850.0.winmain_win8m1.100922-1508_x86fre_client-enterprise_en-us.iso).

Also according to Neowin Windows 8 is expected to enter beta phase soon and not be available to OEM until 2012 and retail till January 2013.

Hope to see more images come out soon. Anyone have thoughts on Windows 8 or what will be different?

T-Mobile Unveils New Unlimited Plans, Starting Tomorrow

Tmobile is releasing a new unlimited plan for single line plans. The new plan is unlimited everything except data which has a cap at 2gb (you will still have data after your limit but your speeds will be throttled). The plans are supposedly only for a short period of time. So if you are thinking to switch to T-mobile this might be the time. The price for the plans are $79.99 for Even more and $59.99 for Even more plus. For those of you that don’t know the difference between Even more and Even more plus the difference is even more requires a two year contract and you get a subsidized phone whereas, the even more plus plan is a month to month basis and you do not get a subsidized phone. T-Mobile USA, Inc. today announced that new, single-line unlimited plans are available starting tomorrow for just $79.99 per month, with an Even More^™ plan and a two-year contract, or $59.99 per month, with an Even More Plus^™plan with no annual contract required. Available for a limited time, the new plans offer great value for new and existing customers with unlimited nationwide calling, texting and data on America’s Largest 4G Network^™.

“Consumers today are looking for even more value and flexibility from their wireless plans,” said John Clelland, senior vice president, marketing, T-Mobile USA. “While data plans for many of our competitors continue to be very expensive, T-Mobile is lowering the price of our unlimited plans and offering more options, making it easier than ever for customers to step up to a richer mobile data experience on our 4G network.”

Combined with an extensive lineup of affordable smartphones, T-Mobile’s new Even More unlimited plan allows customers to save more than $350 per year on an unlimited smartphone plan, compared to similar plans from AT&T, Verizon and Sprint¹. Customers have the flexibility to purchase any phone in T-Mobile’s lineup and sign up for an unlimited rate plan — with or without a contract term commitment.

In contrast to some competing offerings, T-Mobile’s new Even More unlimited and Even More Plus unlimited plans enable customers to use mobile data on their smartphones without incurring any overage charges. Consumers exceeding 2GB of usage in a billing month will still have access to unlimited data at reduced speeds until their new billing cycle starts. iPad 2 Jailbroken Already!!

It was just a matter of time but I did not think that it would happen this soon. Comex posted a picture on his twitter that he has jailbroken the iPad 2 but there is not ETA on the public release yet but I am sure it will be soon.

Dungeon Defenders: Unreal Engine Game for iPhone and Android

Last week David K talked about Infinity Blade and how it might be the game of the year. Now there is another game that brings the Unreal Engine to the iPhone and Android, Dungeon Defenders: First wave by Trendy Entertainment. This is a game that is based on tower defense action-rpg. The game also includes a 4 player online co-op experience which is really awesome. The game looks amazing and it set to release sometime this month so stay tuned and in the mean while check out some of the video and images of the game. Here is the game in multi player action. This is again just an alpha mode for now.

Stores Have Windows Phone Devices in Stock!

Just received news that some ATT stores are starting to have Windows Phone devices in stock. Some stores are probably getting different devices in at different times before the release date, but its nice to see that the stores are preparing for the release!

Verzion iPad Coming October 28th with a Catch…

Looks like Verizon is going to start selling the iPad sooner than it is going to be selling the iPhone which has been talked about for so long, however; there is a catch with the iPad sales. Verizon iPads are only the WiFi version but they are bundling the iPad with their MiFi mobile hotspot. Here are details from the press release:

Thursday, October 28. Verizon Wireless will offer three bundles, all featuring an iPad Wi-Fi model and a Verizon MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot, for a suggested retail price of $629.99 for iPad Wi-Fi 16GB + MiFi, $729.99 for iPad Wi-Fi 32GB + MiFi and $829.99 for iPad Wi-Fi 64GB + MiFi. Verizon Wireless is offering a monthly access plan to iPad customers of up to 1GB of data for just $20 a month

Also the MiFi only has a 4 hour battery life and the iPad has a 10 hour battery life that means you do not have a data connection for 6 hours if you are not near any WiFi connections. (Thanks David K)

To be honest those prices seem a little too high at $200 more than regular retail for a WiFi iPad. For those who don’t know about the MiFi here are more details on it. I would just use my WiFi hotsopt on my phone. I don’t see anyone really buying such a bundle for such a high price. How many of you would buy this bundle package? Let us know in the comments.

Edit: I made a mistake it is not $200 more but about $130 but even that is high considering MiFi are actually being given away for free with a contract obviously. Thanks Joshua.

Windows Phone: Need For Speed Game Video

Windows Phone Shows Up On ATT’s Website!!!

Microsoft officially announced Windows Phone today and Mobility Digest was there covering it live (Photo gallery). Also ATT officially released their windows phone site today with three windows phones, HTC Surround, Samsung Focus and the LG Quantum. Honestly, all of these phones are crap but I dont really care that much because I am on Tmobile and will stick with Tmobile and possibly get the HD 7! The only ATT phone that I am kind of interested in is the LG Quantum and that is only because of the QWERTY keyboard. For more information on the ATT phones visit the ATT Website. They do not have much information about the phones but they do have some information about the different windows phone tiles and a few videos.

If you want detailed specifications about the various phones then David K did another post about all the windows phone specifications HERE. So go over there to check out the details on all the Windows Phones.

So far I like the Dell Venture, HD7 and the LG quantum (just for the slide out keyboard). Which phone do you like the most or hate?

Here is the internet explorer walk through on windows phone from todays Windows Phone Press Conference. Seems a little slow but that might because of the ton of people using the WIFI network there. What are your thoughts?
