HTC Announces They Will Do Windows Phone 8 call it the Titan III?
There are four rumored device manufacturers for Microsoft who will support Windows Phone 8. The sure bets are Nokia, HTC, Samsung and Huawei. Making it official in an announcement today is HTC. No indication of device names or hardware are mentioned, but we can hope for a dual core hot rod from HTC with the now Supported Windows Phone 8. Check out what HTC has to say and hold tight for more information from the makers of the current Windows Phone Titan and Titan II:
“HTC is committed to Windows Phone more than ever and we are excited to be bringing new Windows Phone 8-enabled smartphones to customers later this year,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. “With the introduction of Windows Phone in 2010, Microsoft initiated a new powerful mobile ecosystem with a consumer experience that was both unique and user friendly.”
“We have seen great momentum for Windows Phone since its launch in 2010, with 100,000 apps now in the Marketplace,” said Terry Myerson, Corporate Vice President of Windows Phone at Microsoft. “HTC is one of our closest partners and we share a common goal in driving people-centric innovation, which makes it easy to work together. We can’t wait to see how HTC brings Windows Phone 8 to its product portfolio.”
Check out the HTC Windows Phone 8 I mocked up. Could they call it the Titan III? I sort of hope so.

I still have a soft spot for HTC (good hardware/terrible software) but Nokia would have to totally screw up for me to consider them.

I have no complaints with my Surround. I keep hearing complaints about Lumias, though. However, I’ll still wait and see what comes out at year’s end. It’ll be great!
My father is so fed up with his Surround that he’s jumping ship on WP altogether.
I’m quite happy with my Titan, however.
The way it looks now, I’ll skip the first round of WP8 devices and catch the next wave before I upgrade. I’d probably consider both HTC and Nokia, but the edge in my mind goes to Nokia right now.
Was I the only one getting multiple soft resets a day on my Titan 1? I’m on my 3rd currently and and not seeing the issue anymore but it was rampant on my previous devices. I agree about skipping the first round though.
I have not had any issues from the Titan II. It has worked great. The camera is no where near as good as my iPhone 4s but… I think I could keep the T2 because of the update to 7.8. Looks awesome and I can save money for a change!
