iFrogz Boost Speaker Now Available from Zagg

I’ve seen many of these in my time, external speakers I mean, and yes in theory they’re great but I’ve never really used them in real life. The idea of carrying around something else just doesn’t appeal to me. The new iFrogz Boost Speaker is available from Zagg for $39.99 and it can provide up to 15 hours of play time with three AAA batteries. It’s Bluetooth so there’s no wires. The dimensions are 1 inch high by about 3 inches wide and about 5 inches long (it looks so much bigger in the picture though…)

-ZAGG Inc. today announces the availability of the Boost NearField Audio™ speaker under the iFrogz™ brand. Presented for the first time at the 2012 International CES, the Boost is a small, portable audio amplification unit that is compatible with any external speaker device, including mobile phones and MP3 players.

The iFrogz Boost speaker allows users to amplify their device’s sound by simply placing their smartphone, or other device equipped with an external speaker, on top of the Boost. The Boost features patent-pending audio technology to sync the external audio signal and then amplify the sound through two high-quality 2W x 2RMS speakers. No wires, cords, Bluetooth or pairing configuration is needed. The Boost fits in the palm of the hand, measuring a little over 1 inch high by less than 3 inches wide and less than 5 inches long, and weighs only 5.9 ounces (without batteries).

The Boost gives up to 15 hours of play time when powered by three AA batteries, or can be powered by a Micro USB cord (sold separately). When on battery power, it can remain in standby mode for up to 6 months.

The Boost retails for $39.99 and can be found with other iFrogz branded product offerings at iFrogz.com. For information about other ZAGG product offerings, please visit ZAGG.com.
