Instagram Introduces New Instagram Direct Feature
This morning Instagram pulled the curtains back to reveal their newest feature aimed at making Instagram a more personal social sharing platform. They call it Instagram Direct, a way of sharing photos and videos with those close to you who will know the value of the moment in time the photo or video captures.
Instagram 5.0 is available in both the Apple’s App Store, and Google Play today. Instagram for Windows Phone is in beta and users should stay tuned for updates.

Yes basically its either an email or text message. The same tech a dozen others have been using for a while now and frankly is just a “yeah me too” feature addition. There was no need to even announce the feature. It should have just been a nice update. No, Instagram wants to be the big draw in social sharing so it wants some spotlight.
