Interestingly Microsoft reached top 5 Tablet Vendors list
As per IDC, Microsoft sold 900,000 Surface during Q1 of 2013 and they say Microsoft sold more Surface Pro tablets over Surface RT that is 1.8% of total tablets sold by variety of vendors during that period. Amazon stood at 4th place with 3.7% of total tablets sold. That puts Microsoft sold almost half of what Amazon sold. http://www.idc.com/getdoc.jsp?containerId=prUS24093213

So despite basement pricing Amazon has managed to stall out? Not a good sign for them. How bad can other tablet manufacturers be selling for Microsoft to be at #5 in a single quarter and the sales number less than 1million?
If Microsoft doesn’t drop he bll with the 2nd generation Surface units including Surface Mini they will move up to #2 for the end of this year.
