Ok, if you’re even remotely familiar with the open source movement, you’ll realize how absurd that statement sounds, but its true.
Slashdot is reporting that the Danger Sidekick LX 2009/Blade (the Danger Hiptop is also known as the T-Mobile Sidekick) will be running NetBSD.
For those of you who don’t know, Microsoft purchased Danger in the beginning of 2008. So Microsoft saying that they’re going to use an open source OS like NetBSD instead of their own proprietary Windows CE is seriously shocking.
Now I don’t know about you guys, but I’m going to be building an apocolypse shelter over the next few days and hide out while this goes over.
