outlook-com-logoIf you are an Outlook.com user then you are now in luck! Microsoft has announced on REDDIT today that they have added support for IMAP. Steve Kafta on the Outlook Blog posted that even though IMAP is an older protocol, it is still widely used on feature phones. Steve does believe that EAS is the most robust protocol for connecting to you email in that in syncs in “near real time”. So it looks like Microsoft is listening and this added support for IMAP will make third party developers happy as they now will have the ability to develop apps that can grab your emails.
