Quick Unboxing: Verizon HTC Droid Eris

I got a nice surprise today from Fedex, the Droid Eris, and I thought I’d be nice and share some pictures with all of you. I guess you could call it an unboxing really..

Here’s a quick quote:

“Now operating on the Android platform, the new Droid Eris by HTC combines performance and functionality in one sleek package. Eris offers the HTC Sense UI on a 3.2”, touch screen zoom capability, a virtual QWERTY keyboard, and a 3.5mm headset jack in addition to the Virtual Keys (Home, Menu, Back, Search). The ultra–slim Eris can filter your Inbox, and stay connected securely with your office via HTC Sync. Take advantage of WiFi connectivity and its 5MP camera w/auto focus and video capture. Social networking is a breeze with easy access to your Favorite contacts, YouTube and Facebook. The Droid Eris by HTC is the ultimate in customizable handset that puts the customer at the center and it’s all about you, you, and you…”

But read on to check out all of the pictures:

I’m not going to list all of the spec, you can hop over to the Verizon site HERE and read them if you want.

The box:

Included with the phone is the documentation, USB cable, battery and a cool little USB AC adapter:

The phone itself is very thin and surprisingly lightweight. It has a very large screen and just three buttons at the below it.

The back is where you’ll find the Google logo along with the 5Mp camera:

There’s not many buttons at all on the Droid Eris, really just the ones on the front and the volume buttons on the left side.

On the top is the Audio jack and the bottom is where you’ll find the USB jack.

You’ve got to take the cover off to access the microSD card slot, but you don’t have to remove the battery which is nice. It comes with an 8gb microSD card actually, so you’ll be able to take quite a bit with you if need be.

Well that’s it…

I’ve got it on the charger now so once it’s charged I can play with it!!
