Wow, this is a different kind of beast isn’t it? The other Samsung Rugby phones were more, well, rugged looking for sure. A long time ago I reviewed one of the Rugby series over on TestFreaks and it was a clamshell style phone if I remember correctly, and now this new one is an Android smartphone! They’ve come a log way from basic feature phones to rugged smartphones haven’t they. The new Rugby Smart is dustproof and can be submerged in up to 1 mete of water for up to 30 minutes and it’s made to withstand extreme temperatures. It’s running Android 2.3, has a 3.7” Super AMOLED screen, 5mp rear camera with flash and a 1.3mp front camera. It will be available March 4th for $99.99 with new 2yr agreement and minimum data plan.
