Samsung Galaxy S III Introduced in London

The cat was finally let out of the bag today in London England as Samsung introduced us to the third iteration of the Galaxy Class  Smartphones called the Galaxy S III. Their flagship device packs a might punch and should make the Android community proud with it’s super slim elegant design.  At only .34 inches think, it is only .01 thinking than it’s predecessor the Samsung Galaxy S II. The height of the S3 is 5.38” and width is 2.78. This keeps in line with the Galaxy Nexus and HTC One X recently released. However, it also makes it 22% bigger than the device it’s replacing, the Galaxy S II. It is going to come in White/Silver and Blue/Silver color scheme. And I got to say the white looks awesome.

Jam packed into this frame is a  HD Super AMOLED 4.8 inch screen! It also is going to come with a 2100 mAh battery to make sure Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.0 is powered for your daily activities. It will also have an 8mp camera, 1080p  video capture, 1GB of RAM, and 4G LTE. 32 GB of user memory with a  64 GB version coming soon. The processor is the 1.4 GHz Quad Core hot rod that is making a big buzz for HTC in it’s NVIDIA Tegra 3 version sold overseas. As we said a few days ago, the HTC version came to AT&T with a throttled down Snapdragon S4 processor that is no lightweight and thumbed it’s nose at the Quad Core in comparison testing. So does this mean that the US version of the S3 will also be downsized for 4G LTE? We will have to wait as the European launch of the S3 will be this month and heading over here later in the summer. It was also said the the S3 will be the official phone of the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Stay tuned as we wait for more on the S3 and the official launch date and pricing for the US.
