Skype 2.6 for Android can send pictures and videos

Android owners are going to be pretty happy with the new Skype 2.6 update that just rolled out. Now, Skype users will have the ability to send pictures and videos to friends and family. Skype works on WiFi or on your 3G Data plan,  but this recent update won’t work on all Android devices because video is still “whitelisted” on certain Android devices until Skype’s engineering team can sign off on a device to ensure the best possible quality experience.

The HTC Amaze 4G and Motorola DROID RAZR are the two newest devices cleared for Android Skypers and just about any device running Android 2.2 or also known as Froyo. You can grab Skype for Android at the Android Market for free and start enjoying video conferencing and sending pictures and videos.
