Three Screens Is Awesome – Well Played Microsoft
For a long time Microsoft has been touting their ‘three screens and a cloud’ concept and here’s a picture of it in action today. Joel Ivory Johnson has a WP7 dev device and look what he did…so purdy. As he wrote “Bought a video on Zune and can now play it on my computer, my WP7, and my xbox 360″.” Yup, that’s awesome. Stepping back, getting a movie on a computer is easy. Windows Phone 7 is tied into Zune so that’s easy. Now to get it to your PC you have a bunch of options. You can use Xbox 360 or any other media extender device to stream to your tv. The other option is to wait a little while for the Intel system on a chip implantation of Silverlight to come to your tv which should be pretty soon and will presumably fill this gap as well. It really doesn’t matter how you do it – Seeing it on three screens is a treat.

I have to say, this is one of the few things that will keep me with WP7. If it has DivX/XviD support out of the box (I’ll even take a decent player from the Marketplace) then the balance will shift even further.
Now thats what i’m talking about. WP7 rocks!!!! O Cloud, O Cloud!!!!
@Skyau – there is no DivX or Xvid codec support *built-into* WP7 but yes, it can/could be added to the music & video hub
MY zune HD does Xvid, dont see why wp7 wouldnt since every wp7 is suppose to run the full zune software

But… but… that’s wrong. There is DivX support, and by extension Xvid support. That was one of the features when they announced it.
