BGR quotes in an interview with Bloomberg, Samsung’s EVP Lee said “The Tizen phone will be out in August or September, and this will be in the high-end category” http://bgr.com/2013/03/15/samsung-tizen-smartphone-release-date-379566/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Fine. Were they to turn this into a hit, maybe they could exit Android and take all their crapware with them.

I think thats what everyone is talking about. If not for SPen and size, I would have gone with Nexus 4 instead of Note II for my Android developments. I am not buying SG 4, I don’t care whether that phone follows my eyes are not, my phone should be more pleasing to my ears and mouth first.

+1 to you both. Function over form.

Wait Marti, before I accept your +1, what do you mean exactly, function over form?

Also, is it a sign of some sort of insecurity that I actually take some delight when someone throws me a +1 like this, or is that normal?

I think she is giving +1 to us because, she thinks the functionality is important than crapware or the nuisance features like eye following etc. The basic functionality of a phone is talking, listening, and in Samsung Phones, the quality of voice (both in and out) sucks.

So they’re putting out their own OS to “distance themselves from android” (or so every other site says), right?

They why the fuq are they going to run android apps?

    Just sayin’.

Is this thing still going to run android apps, or is that only through a 3rd party app?
