I’ve been running dual screens in my home setup for years now, and the added desktop space adds a great deal more productivity to my day. Now, us cool kids can take that experience wherever we go, with Toshiba’s 14” USB monitor. It comes with a nice case for both protecting it while traveling and can be used as a stand to prop up the screen. This14” screen will set you back $200, but if you need more screen real estate this is might be just what you’re looking for. The moment I get some extra disposable income, this will be my first purchase.

The screen has a resolution of 1366×768 and a weight of 2.8lbs. The max brightness is 200nits, which means you wont be using this screen outdoors, but it should be decent for indoor use. All you need is a USB connector and you’re good to go.

      I need this Technology to get a little bit better for use outdoors. A second monitor would be sweet on our survey skiff.

      @Ed D.: Products can always be “better” but considering our last option before this if you wanted an extra screen was a 7″ model for $100 more from some Asian company I’ve never heard of before I think it’s a considerable upgrade. Yea I wish it had higher resolution and was bigger to match my laptop’s screensize(I’m a little obsessive compulsive when it comes to matching screens) but that doesn’t mean this isn’t a great product for the current market. If you want an extra screen without having to plug into a wall, weighs less than 5lbs and is big enough you don’t have to squint, this is your only option.
