  1. I’ve been using Winx DVD Ripper Platinum for over a year and it is an easy way to rip DVD’s so I can have all my movies available in Media Center. With just four clicks I can make a copy and it converts it to mpeg with 5.1 surround. It takes about 10 minutes for a 2 hour movie with my dual core. Customer support is awesome too. I’ve had two problems with the software and they replied within a few hours and the problems were fixed quickly. The only gripe I have is when it converts to mpeg it does not copy the subtitles. To get the subtitles you have to make an ISO image or compress it to avi or wmv. You lose a little image quality but you can still keep the 5.1 surround with avi or wmv so it’s a minor gripe for the rare foreign film I own.
