HP Slate Specs Leaked
|Engadget got their hands on a spec sheet for the HP Slate. This is a slate form factor running Windows 7 Premium so you get a full OS including Media Center. So things like Netflix streaming are already waiting for you as is Skype and well…everything else you know and love in a PC but in a portable tablet format. The specs include an 8.9” capacitive screen (1024 x 600) but 1080p/HDMI output, accelerometer, 1GB of RAM, 32/64 GB of storage, multiple connectivity ports, 5 hour battery use, VGA camera for Skype and 3mp camera for photos (yup, front and back facing), ranging from $550-$600. As an added bonus you can see how it compares to the iPad. Green means HP wins, red means iPad. The specs are essentially a netbook that should be optimized for finger friendly use. When you look at it that way, it seems a little on the high side. Compare it to an iPad and it seems like a discount since you get so much more for the same price…funny how comparisons work:)
