Microsoft Confirms Smaller Windows 8 Devices Coming
|Listening to earnings calls sometimes pays off big time. Today is one such occasion as Microsoft’s CFO Peter Klein mentioned that Microsoft plans to drive Windows 8 adoption with the help of smaller devices. Remember a few days ago when an Intel executive predicted we’d see $200 Windows 8 touch devices. The best thing about Microsoft continuing to turn in record quarters is you know they have long-game type of money. They have time to adjust their strategy and push the adoption to the masses.
So many naysayers ready to pronounce Windows 8 dead before it gets its walking legs and yet it seems nobody is asleep at the wheel at Microsoft just yet. Will Windows Blue provide us with further signs of the adjusted focus for Microsoft?
