NRG Goes Android

If you owned a Windows Mobile device you’ve likely used an NRG ROM in the past. He cooked ROMs for just about every device and seemed to update his ROMs on a daily basis. he always had the latest and greatest and his own tricks to get the most performance. Well, he’s rocking a MyTouch4G now. He rejected Windows Phone 7 stating “Too simple for me.. I need an OS I can tinker with!” Now he does note that he “just bought one to try one” and that he already has an Android phone that he’s “already bored with”. Anyway, it seems like he’s headed to making Android ROMs for the MyTouch4G so get ready.

    Gosh, I only ever cared about flashing when my phone sucked. Guess that says alot about the state of android.

    I still flash to get the lastest versions before they are officially released. I’m running gingerbread on my desire right now, and I have no doubt that NRG will bring some great, polished roms to our devices.

    NRG will be back, the Windows Phone market is too tight to be worth his while. Plus there is not a lot to complain about with the UI. Give it some time to mature and MS to expose some wrinkles.

    I think it will be fun to see what he does with Andriod…
