Sony Xperia Z, THANK YOU SONY!
|Long have I considered Sony an “annoying giant,” mainly because they have the ability to do greatness on a grand scale but often misses the mark. Here is more food for annoyance, this Xperia Z is simply stunning, so stunning I can’t help but give Sony the side eye! What took so long?! I knew they could do it!
Outfitted with a 5 inch full HD display (1080 x 1920 resolution,) featuring Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 which automatically optimizes images so they’re sharper and brighter on the display. Its powered by a 1.5Ghz Quad-core processor, 2Gb of RAM and a Adreno 320 GPU which will go nicely with the PlayStation store preloaded on the device.
The design is also one to marvel at, as it sports a high gloss finish that offers a mirror like effect all at only 7.9mm thin. But the best part of its design is not its pretty looks, it’s the functionality Sony has managed to include. The Xpera Z is water resistant in up to a meter of water and even dust resistant.
Also included is Sony’s “one touch” technology driven by NFC which shares media to other Sony connected devices with ease.
Why am I excited about this device? I’ve been looking for a replacement to my SG2, currently nothing stands out at me as a premium offering, something special enough to spend some money. But thanks to Sony, the Xpera Z’s design and raw hardware spec shows there is hope once again! For more details on the Xperia Z, head over to the official product page.
I am looking at this device too.
But I am not sure how it beats the SNote2, other than looks, and that will get covered in a case.
I am still holding out on a purchase for atleast a few more weeks, longer for the right device if need be.
Peace
Nicely done across devices on the NFC capabilities. Sony’s back in the game.
