Toshiba Announces the Excite 10 LE Android Tablet
|Oh look, another overpriced tablet hits the market, this time it’s from Toshiba. This new tablet is called the Excite 10 LE and you can get the 16gb for $530 or the 32gb for $600. It’s powered by a 1.2ghz multi-core CPU and will be running Honeycomb at launch which I can’t figure out why as Ice Cream Sandwich has been out for a while now?! You’d think with all the tablet options on the market that prices would come down, but it doesn’t seem to be working that way does it?
Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced that the Excite 10 LE tablet will be available for purchase from select U.S. retailers on March 6. Previously introduced as the Excite X10, the Excite 10 LE is the world’s thinnest and lightest 10-inch tablet measuring just 0.3 inches (7.7mm) thin and weighing just 1.18 pounds (535g).
