AT&T announces the HP Veer 4G

If you are looking for a lot of goodies packed into a very small device with slide out QWERTY keyboard then get a load of AT&T’s HP Veer 4G. HP’s latest device to be featured on the Death Star weighs in at only 3.63 ounces and has a small screen at 2.6 inches (320×400). The upside to the pocket sized mighty mouse is that it does have a slide out keyboard to accompany the multi touch screen. The Veer 4G will be running HP’s webOS 2.1 which is good because Android would laugh hysterically at the 910 mAh battery.

800Mhz Processor from the fine folks at Qualcomm should proved enough power to fire off lots of pictures from the 5 megapixel camera  with extended depth of field, geotagging and video capture. All the other goodies you would expect from a smart phone including Flash capable WebKit browser. 8GB of internal memory built in and expect 6.1 to be available for use after you fire it up the first time.

I actually know a lot of people that hate large screen devices and enjoyed the HTC Aria that was released by AT&T a while back. So if you are looking to keep a small pocketable device and it’s time to upgrade, then check out the 4G capable HP Veer running the Palm webOS 2.1

HP Veer 4G will be available from AT&T at company-owned stores and online at http://www.att.com/ on May 15 and will cost $99.99 with a two-year contract.
