vibesI know there’s no way to post this without a sophomoric exchange ensuing but the spreading the word about this software is just too important not to. Years ago someone figured out how to get phones to vibrate irregularly when receiving a call which made it much easier for people to feel the vibes and answer the call when on the move. People begged him to come up with a way to assign customized vibrations to incoming text and email, but it never happened.

But with the help of Google Translate my main man earthjumper hailin’ out of Deutschland made it happen with Vibro. With it you may assign unique vibration patterns of your own design (or just use his presets) to incoming calls, texts and emails, and also assign whether or not to use those patterns for each when notifications occur while the phone is on any sound profile (vibrate, on and silent). The only thing it’s missing is alarm notifications but hey, good enough for me. Check his XDA thread for instructions and the download.

Biographical info.. hmm. I have a history of not being able to strike the balance between what is “safe” to put into these forms and what is, in my mind at least, funny. Can’t do it.
