We’ve done our fair share of tips and tricks around here but one that we didn’t report on is changing the restriction on ringtone limits. Some phones (ok it probably only applies to stock ROMs) limit the size of the ringtone you are allowed to have. So when you go to load a ringtone you can’t add those sound files. This issue came up in our forums the other day and jimski was there with a response. It’s just a simple registry tweak: Change Key: HKCUControlPanelSounds – File SizeLimit = 0 (from 300000 or whatever it is now).

Our forums are filled with tips, tricks and friendly people (who don’t flame you if you don’t know how to manually change your registry) so if you haven’t been there in a while drop by.
