I don’t know about these, if I’m going to ever get a new notebook or laptop it’s going to be powerful to make sure it can do everything I need it to do. I understand budget priced products have a place but I don’t like them personally as they just don’t do the job in my opinion. Anyway, Gateway has just announced two new touchscreen notebooks with prices starting at $329. The LT41P is the lower priced model and it features 10.1 inch screen with an Intel Celeron CPU and 2gb of DDR3 ram. The Gateway NV570P is priced at $449.99 and it has a 15.6 inch display with a Intel Core CPU and 8gb of ram. Details and pics below for you..

  1. I just bought a new ASUS Touch Vivobook that costed me $900. Sure I could’ve went with a much cheaper model but I want a great experience and those sub $500 laptops just don’t deliver that. Too many compromises that would lead me to chucking it at the wall. I considered a MBP but saved $400 while getting a premium experience and the benefit of a responsive touch screen.

My advice is to just say no to lower end products especially ones using Celeron processors. This isn’t 2008, its a new era that needs quality devices to appreciate the Win8 experience.
