On many Android users’ wish lists is the ability to store applications on their SD chip. This has been doable for some time but requires getting under the hood, not the kind of stuff most users either would know how to do or bother to do.

But according to an apologetic Google insider we can start to stop fretting about not being able to store those tens of thousands of crappy apps on our chips:

So this man didn’t exactly confirm it but storing and running applications on our chips easily might be on the list of goodies coming soon with the imminent Android 2.2/Froyo update.
