New reports point to Verizon and Nokia teaming up to launch the rumored Nokia 2520 tablet on the network and signs also point to it being LTE equipped. What i’ll be most interested in seeing is how much synergy Nokia focuses on between their phone lineup and the tablet. We have already seen leaks of the Story Teller app and i’m sure that is just the tip of the iceberg. It should retail for $499 which is not bad for a LTE equipped tablet and the accompanying specs.
- Running Win RT 8.1
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad-core
- 32GB of on board storage with expandable memory
- 6.7MP Zeiss Camera Optics
- 1080p (1920 x 1080) HD Display
I know there are a lot of people writing the tablet off simply because it is running WinRT but keep in mind that Nokia is playing with house money and can do some bold things. Maybe everyone is looking at this wrong. Everything that Nokia learns, good and bad, from this tablet experience will help the device division of Microsoft going forward.
