Joseph Earl (who previously brought us the game Bubbles) has now released another app. This time it’s a unit converter so you can convert various units (whether it be angles, area, computer, currency, density, energy, force, fuel, luminance, length, power, pressure, speed, temperature, time, typography, volume (wet or dry) and weight). As with Bubbles, this app is written using Flash so it’s great to look at and it’s extraordinarily finger friendly and easy to us. So with one finger I can find out that those Heineken minikegs hold 8.8 pints for example (5 liters sounds like a lot more:)). And again, there’s a web demo so you can see exactly what it looks like. Just head over to uconvert.us and you can try the web demo to see it in action. The app itself is free but if you want the ability to do currency conversions and to sync your favorites then it’s a mere $.99. All in all it looks great and remember, it requires Flash (free download here) to run.  It supports VGA, WVGA, QVGA and WQVGA so most phones are supported.
