Hey! Google’s Nexus One, which was a developers’ phone from the beginning (in addition to being a badass consumer phone), will remain that way and quite available for purchase in spite of the online store shutdown for $529, the original price, directly from Google, indefinitely for anyone with an Android Developer account, according to the Android Developers Blog.

Good to know not just to keep pushing the phone on my close relatives but also this is affirmation that this device has the right stuff not only to get extended life on the shelf but to be pegged as Google’s Android development phone. Good to know we’ll remain first in line for big happy updates like Android 3.0 (Gingerbread), good to know I’m among the elite. Judging by the growing list of trackbacks on the blog post, seems that I’m not the only one excited by this (though it could be that fine yoga archer chick I suppose).
