2012 will end CES Keynote for Microsoft
|If you have always wanted to sit front and center and hear Microsoft front men like Bill Gates and now Steve Ballmer talk about Microsoft and what is new and exciting at the Consumer Electronic Show, then you better make plans to attend the 2012 show because it will be their last. On the Official Microsoft Blog, they announced that doing the CES Keynote did not align with their product news milestones. The fact that they always have done it for the past 20 years weighed on their decision, but at the end of the day, streamlining their business and doing what makes sense for them is what really matters.
Microsoft will still participate in the CES show, but will opt out of the keynote presentation and booth after this 2012 show. Microsoft will use what they think are better avenues to engage their audience like Big Windows Phone, Facebook, Twitter,Microsoft.com and our retail stores.
