Dell goes private with $2b Microsoft loan
Yup as rumored for $24.4b Dell is now private. And Microsoft was always known to have a hand in the cookie jar. They provided $2b in the form of a loan. We don’t know the terms of the loan but obviously they are staying in the good graces of Dell by providing 8% of the cash needed to go private. Let’s see what the new Dell will be like over the coming year.

I actually like companies going private: they can focus on business, products, and the consumer (who drives their bottom line, really) instead of investors who only care about ROI.
I will definitely be keeping an eye on Dell, to see what happens next. Good luck to them!
