Firefox Developer Preview Phones
|If you are a gadget geek and interested in buying one of the developer preview devices of Firefox OS, just sign up with geeksphone. Once you signup they will send you an email to confirm their subscription. They currently are planning to offer two types of models. Keon, which is pretty basic and Peak a 3.5” HVGA screen, which is bigger phone 4.3” qHD IPS screen. Both support Multitouch. That site is not telling when would they are available for purchase or their cost though. The have just listed the specs along with a picture of those two.
The Keon specs:
CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 7225AB 1Ghz.
UMTS: 2100/1900/900 (3G HSPA, if you happen to be on other than T-Mobile in USA, it is pretty useless for day to day 3G related operations) – I know it is a developer preview device, point taken
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 (2G Edge – if you are not AT&T, it is useless). – I know it is a developer preview device, point taken
3.5″ HVGA Multitouch Screen
3MP Camera rear, no front camera
4GB ROM and 512MB RAM.
MicroSD slot, Wifi N, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, FM Radio, Light & Prox. Sensor, G-Sensor, GPS, and a Micro USB, which could be used for charging with a 1580 mAH battery.
And the Peak specs:

I personally like the specs and the look of Peak even for the developer preview.

yes, I am not sure why people are still hanging to Windows 3.x Look and Feel. iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, Android and now this they all look like polished Windows 3.x desktop.
