Herm’s Software Brings Us: Egg Timer
|Herm’s been a busy man. His latest free release is Egg Timer. A simple to use, finger friendly, egg timer for Windows Mobile. It serves the obvious purpose of acting like a countdown clock which can come in handy for all sorts of things. Personally, I use my Fuze as an alarm clock and half the time I turn off the alarm and then decide I want another ten minutes and then I have to make a new alarm by adding ten minutes to the current time. There’s no need for that now. Just flick the screen to set the alarm for 10 minutes and call it a day. Here’s a video of it in action:
The application does stop if the backlight is turned off but it’s set to match your existing dim settings (so don’t hit the power key and it will turn off the backlight and remain active – if you hit the power key it will suspend the app). You can even control if you hear it tick down. Nice app, nice features, easy to use. It supports VGA, QVGQ, WQVGA, WVGA so it should work for most touch screen phones out there – the Tilt, Fuze, Touch Pro, Diamond, Omnia, Touch HD, Touch Pro 2…you get the picture:)
Check it out at Herm’s site along with his other apps and buy him a beer if you appreciate his work.
