Jabra Brings Its Most Popular and Comfortable Headset Wearing Style to Verizon Wireless
Behind-the-Ear Fit Receives a Tech Makeover with the Jabra WAVE; Three Designs Available Exclusively at Verizon Wireless Stores
Jabra, the world leader in innovative headset solutions, has unveiled a tribute to its design heritage – the Jabra WAVE – a new Bluetooth® headset with an enhanced behind-the-ear wearing style. Featuring innovative new wind-noise reduction technology and Voice Guidance, the Jabra WAVE will be available in three designs exclusively at Verizon Wireless Communications stores nationwide beginning in November. The WAVE will be shown for the first time at the CTIA Enterprise & Applications Show taking place this week in San Francisco
The Jabra WAVE’s behind-the-ear fit emulates the design of such blockbuster hits as the Jabra EarWave boom and BT250. This signature Jabra style has sold more than 10 million units worldwide to-date and was voted the most comfortable and stable style by consumers. The Jabra WAVE offers even greater comfort than behind-the-ear legacy products, but with a thinner, sleeker design. The headset also has several new features including wind-noise reduction, Voice Guidance, and Multiuse™ technology. The WAVE will be available in three designs – two Bluetooth headsets – in black and red – and a corded version in black.
"We hear time and time again from our customers that the behind-the-ear wearing style is their favorite and the most comfortable headset design," said Mogens Elsberg, CEO of GN Netcom. "We are extremely pleased to bring this style to Verizon Wireless with its innovative new features and the updated design of the Jabra WAVE. We are excited that Verizon Wireless is making three designs available exclusively to their customers."
The comfortable and cutting-edge Jabra WAVE is the next generation in a line of award-winning wireless headsets. Significantly slimmer and easier-to-use than its predecessors, the Jabra WAVE’s ergonomic fit is ideal for all-day use and its Voice Guidance system, StatusDisplay™, and easy-to-locate answer/end button on the microphone boom help create a simple, intuitive user experience. A new design and microphone concept, including a three layer wind-noise reduction, provides significantly better immunity to wind and background noise. Combined with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, the WAVE allows for crystal clear audio – even while walking or when the outdoor elements aren’t ideal.
Utilizing the Jabra World of Apps Portal, consumers can easily and quickly find applications that fit their lifestyle and make the most of their headset experience. With third-party hands-free apps that have been hand-selected and rigorously tested to work with the Jabra WAVE and other Jabra products, the Portal includes a robust suite of voice-enabled apps allowing users to send text messages or emails using their voice, read email messages, update status on social networking sites including Facebook, notify users of missed calls, find a business or get local traffic reports and updates.
