Qwikster Is Dead Already – Netflix Reverses Itself
|It’s like a soap opera…Netflix has now announced that Qwikster (which was stupid from the start) is DOA. It’s all staying as Netflix. And to think that kid with the Twitter handle could have made a few bucks for himself…
It is clear that for many of our members two websites would make things more difficult, so we are going to keep Netflix as one place to go for streaming and DVDs.
This means no change: one website, one account, one password… in other words, no Qwikster.
While the July price change was necessary, we are now done with price changes.
We’re constantly improving our streaming selection. We’ve recently added hundreds of movies from Paramount, Sony, Universal, Fox, Warner Bros., Lionsgate, MGM and Miramax. Plus, in the last couple of weeks alone, we’ve added over 3,500 TV episodes from ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS, USA, E!, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, ABC Family, Discovery Channel, TLC, SyFy, A&E, History, and PBS.
We value our members, and we are committed to making Netflix the best place to get movies & TV shows.
Thank you.

I think Netflix is trying to self destruct…this was the right move but of course that’s before it follows up a really really dumb move.
Keep your eyes on the Mobility Digest Sidebar today and watch the Netflix stock slide back to 113-115 after gaining some back last week. I am starting to like Netflix more because of the soap opera of bad decision making that keeps happening over there!
Now if they would only fix the Watch Instantly interfere I’d be happy.. that by far is the worst mistake they’ve made this year..
interfere = interface.. stupid spell check, you picked the wrong work for me!
I give up.. work = word … one of those days I see…
Its too late Netflix I already cancelled my disk subscription… But maybe that’s what you wanted…
Well, it’s a good thing I don’t work on wall street, Netflix is up +2.26%…
I suspect this was the plan all along. People are miffed about the price changes. Thwrow them another change. Let them get pissed about that. “Listen” to your customers and hope they now forgot about the price increase
