Rovio Quietly Launches New Angry Birds Levels

Everyone these days is talking about the recent Rovio release of Bad Piggies, which broke all records by racing to number one in only 3 hours, and the recently announced Angry Birds Star Wars. Today though, the Finnish game maker has quietly pushed out an update to the original Angry Birds game – the one that started the revolution.  While the 15 new levels released are called the “Bad Piggies” levels Rovio is actually calling them a part of the “Surf and Turf” level.

The new Angry Birds section currently has 15 available levels of game play, but there are two more sections which have a “coming soon” logo plastered across them.

“The Bad Piggies don’t just have a new game — now they’ve taken over Angry Birds with 15 of the PIGGEST levels ever!  Take a break with 15 stormy levels for Surf ‘n Turf!”

Rovio didn’t make any sort of announcement about the release, but it’s currently available on the Google Play Store, and those who already had the game installed should receive the update pushed to their device automatically.  We assume this also rolled out to iOS users as well, but no reports on that have surfaced so far.
