Samsung Sees Better Battery Life in Your Future

I love my Samsung Captivate but the battery life is horrible or at least it was and still isn’t exactly great. Before I updated it to Gingerbread I’d have to charge it everyday, but it’s better now, so whatever they did with the update made the battery last longer. if I really didn’t use the phone I would have to charge it before bed, but if I used it a lot during the day I’d have to charge it half way through. That’s one of the main gripes with all smartphones I think, battery life is just horrible especially is you use it a lot. Samsung has a goal of giving us phones with batteries that can last all day and they want to do it this year.

(I know the battery picture isn’t for a smartphone, I just grabbed the first one I saw with the Samsung logo on it…)

Here’s one of the quotes form an interview with Cnet from Kevin Packingham VP of product innovation at Samsung:  "When you wake up to when you go to bed, we don’t want you feeling anxiety about your battery life,"

I don’t know about you guys and gals but I don’t experience anxiety about my battery life, then again I work from home so I’ve always got power for my phone right here on my desk…
