The quiet before the storm
Awful quiet out there tonight (unless you are in Times Square, NYC). Sort of like the way it gets after a snowstorm up North (you Southerners are just going to have to trust me on this one). Windows 8 is coming tonight. So is the Surface RT, and more than 1,000 other PC configurations running Windows 8 or Windows RT, available from your favorite retailer beginning tomorrow. Smart Glass got here today and the XBox refresh appeared earlier this week, along with XBox Music & Video. Windows Phone 8 will be here in just a few days. It is a great time to be a Microsoft fan.
Computing for three decades, I have been waiting a long time for a Microsoft PC. Tomorrow, that dream will be realized, provided the UPS jet does not encounter any insurmountable obstacles. Decided that I am going to stay up tonight to welcome Windows 8 into the world. My old dog Notebook will be the first to get the update. Despite the critics, Windows 8 is going to change everything. And it will be good. Enjoy.

I am going to local popup store tomorrow and getting two. I am running RTM since its availability and I love it.
