WordPress for iOS gets a big update
The famous blogging platform, WordPress has just announced a big update to its iOS app. This time, it’s not all about bug squashing but version 2.8 has actually got some new features in a long time. The new features include a Quick Photo Button (only available on iPhone for now), stats, the app is now translated to 10 languages; Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Bosnian, Hebrew, German, Dutch, French, and Croatian.
The team behind this app thinks that, “an app should be all about getting in and out quickly, performing a specific task” and thus they made the “Quick Photo” button. Instead of thinking of a new topic to write on, you can just snap a picture of what’s happening around you and then add a title or description (both optional) and publish it to one of your WordPress blog.
If you run a WordPress.com blog, the stats feature will work natively. But, if you happen to run a self-hosted WordPress blog you will need to install either Jetpack or the stand-alone Stats plugin.
