WP7 PowerPoint Streaming
|WMPowerUser posted a video of a recent demo of PowerPoint’s WP7 integration and it’s pretty sick. In the video you can see the presenter play a PowerPoint demo as a moderator, follow it in real time in a web browser and simultaneously watch the same slide show on a WP7 device that also streams in real time. This seems great for meetings but as a student I also see the ability to have your own version of PowerPoint in your hand without the need to give up any of your laptop’s screen (or even have a PC with you at all) to be pretty neat. They also show SharePoint and how nice it is to have access to your docs stored in the cloud. Anyway, here’s the complete video:

This feature is called PowerPoint Broadcast, and it’s part of PowerPoint 2010. You can learn more about it here:

The mobile viewing will work on any phone with a web browser, but on WP7, the Office Mobile team on Windows Phone did some additional work to have native support, so the overall experience is smoother.
these spam comments, like Stefanie’s which I’m about to zap, on old articles are killing me… thinking we should auto-close commenting on articles older than half a year or whatever.
C’mon Akismet where are you.
