Cellular South’s Samsung Galaxy S now available Online

The largest US Wireless Carrier just released their Samsung Galaxy S version for online ordering today adding them to the list of AT&T (Captivate), T-Mobile (Vibrant), Sprint (Epic 4G), and Verizon’s (Fascinate) version of the very popular Android Device. While Cellular South’s version does not have the Froyo update either, at least now Cellular South can put itself in line for the update along with the rest of us. No word on the Froyo, Android 2.2 rollout for Cellular South yet,

Anyway, a little shout out to our friends in the South East United States which seldom get much love from the blogs or Carrier news. Shout out if you are rockin’ on Cellular South’s network in the comment area!

Where’d You Get That App?

“The Samsung Galaxy S smartphone is the must-have Android-powered device going into the holiday season and is the ‘icing on the cake’ for our 2010 Android line-up,” said Hankins. “However, our Android offering doesn’t stop with just the device. With access to more than 100,000 apps on Android, it is our mission to help our customers find the right apps for them. That’s why we’ve created Discover Apps, designed to help customers find the best apps for their individual interests.”

Unlike other smartphone app experiences that provide access to thousands of apps, but leave customers overwhelmed and unsure of the best ones for them, Cellular South’s Discover Apps tool gives consumers easy and quick access to the very best Android apps available today. Cellular South Discover Center specialists comb through the growing list of thousands of Android apps on a regular basis and pick the very best, most useful, and most fun Android apps, and then provide a list of reviews. The recommended apps will help smartphone users get the most out of their wireless device – creating the optimum app experience not available at any other provider.

Best Plans for Smartphones

While AT&T and Verizon’s unlimited plans continue to confuse consumers with data limitations and additional charges, Cellular South understands that talk isn’t enough for most consumers today. They want to talk, text, e-mail and use the Web at an affordable, flat-rated, simple price. Many also want plans that make smartphones accessible to everyone in the household. That’s why, over a year ago, Cellular South created the nationwide Smartphone Unlimited Plan for individuals and families.

“For years we’ve been pricing our wireless plans and services in a way that wireless users don’t have to manage minutes or usage. Wireless users should not have to think before they press send or worry about surprise bills that may come after,” said Hankins. “Cellular South customers don’t have to worry about calling circles, rollover minutes, roaming networks, days of the week or the time of day. All our customers need to think about is who they want to connect to next.”

Cellular South’s Smartphone Unlimited Plan is the industry’s most robust and affordable smartphone plan and includes unlimited talk, text, Web, and e-mail for just $79.99, compared to $119 per month for the same services from AT&T or Verizon. The plan from Cellular South also includes a second line, including all of the same unlimited services, for just $39.99. Customers can get two Smartphone Unlimited Plans for the price of only one from AT&T or Verizon with equivalent unlimited services.

“Our industry-leading unlimited, nationwide plans are just one of the reasons Cellular South is the best wireless provider for smartphone users,” said Jim Richmond, director of corporate communications. “Coupled with our sophisticated and reliable high-speed wireless data network, Cellular South is allowing our customers to do more with their devices than ever before.”

Cellular South has plans to continue to expand its Android device offerings adding two new touchscreen smartphones to its premier Android portfolio – the HTC Wildfire and the LG Axis – just in time for the holidays. Plus, with access to more than 100,000 apps and counting, Discover Apps to help customers find the right apps for them, as well as the best value for smartphones, it’s shaping up to be an exciting holiday for Cellular South customers.
