We have heard about this coming and it looks like tomorrow will be the day that Facebook rolls out their Location Service. Facebook has done a pretty good job of staying tight lipped about how the development is going but partnering with the same company that powers Twitters “Places” called Localeze should indicated that Facebook users should be able to make use of Location enabled devices to update their status.
Stay tuned and we will update you when we get word of the Facebook Location service going live. Here is a copy of the invitation that Facebook is sending out for tomorrows announcement:
You are invited to attend a news event at Facebook this Wednesday at 4:30 pm. During the event, Facebook representatives will provide an update on the service’s features and products.
Immediately following, there will be a community event from 6:00pm–9:00pm which you are welcome to attend at Facebook’s office at 1601 California Ave.
