We’ve got another HTC leak on our hands this weekend!  Yay for us weekend nerds!  It looks to be another giant screen phone with 4 touch buttons rounding out the bottom of the phone.  No front facing camera can be seen, but honestly, I’m not gonna miss it.  Do any of your iphone friends use facetime other than for the novelty? Our brothers and sisters across the pond have had video calling for years now and it never “caught on”.  I suspect this is another Apple fad, although Apple fads have a way of sticking with Americans so who knows.  But I could care less as I’m not holding my phone in a funky awkward position just so someone else can watch me talk to them.  I have a webcam for that, and guess what! I don’t need to hold it up to use it.

Back to the mystery phone.  It’s running Android 2.2 (every new Android phone should be running 2.2 and if it isn’t it isn’t worth you time).  Android-HK suspects it to be the Desire HD.  No other details are actually known at the moment.  But if this really is the Desire HD then it’ll pack a 4.3” screen, 1Ghz Snapdragon, 8MP camera with 720p video recording and face tracking, budled 4GB microSD card (expandable to 32GB) and an aluminum body.

  1. You must hate yourself then. No phone in 2 ntomhs is going to take 25% of the mobile market. The iPhone sure as hell didn’t do that. It has taken years. Now what you missed or just didn’t want to see when you looked at those numbers is that Android will ship on as many units as the iPhone will ship this year. And its expected to overtake the iPhone in sales within the next year or so. Next time check all the numbers before you talk.
