We just reported that the HTC Touch Pro II was coming to Expansys on 06-0509 and is available for preorder yesterday, and today we get news that the HTC Touch Diamond II will be released in Taiwan later this month according to MobileTechReview. To sell for NT$21,900 ($650 USD), the Touch Diamond II is only slightly less expensive than the Touch Pro II at Expansys for $703.

  1. why, when there are the most people willing to buy these devices, do they not release in the US first? why does htc do this? do they not like money?

  2. I got my HTC Touch Diamond 2 two months ago and find it satisfactory so far, it’s great. But i found the D2 was still prone to fingerprint and the visibility under direct sunlight has not been improved, and the standard 3.5mm Audio jack is still missing, i have no idea what’s going on with the folks in HTC.
