I have been hearing a lot about these new cases for iPhone and coming soon for iPad called LIFEPROOF. I liked their marketing stating it has The Four Proofs. Water, Dirt, Snow and Shock Proof, this case looks to have beat the OtterBox Armor Series to Market and is doing quite well.
The LifeProof Case offers full Waterproof IP-68 Protection and is rated to 2 meters or 6.6 feet of water. You can enjoy taking movies and pictures under water as well as listen to music. Listening to music requires the LifeProof water proof adapter and is sold separately. What peace of mind never having to worry about surfing the web or reading Mobility Digest and having that unfortunate bathroom episode.
Dirt is no problem as LifeProof sports the IP-68 level protection and permanently seals your magical iPhone permanently against exposure to mud, sand, grit, dust, and lint with no limits on duration of exposure. Construction, Off-Road Adventure and Beach excursions are humbled before it’s mighty sealing power.
Snow is no problem.
Shock Proof : The LifeProof case is designed for a high degree of shock and impact protection and has been tested to Military Specifications MIL-STD-810F-516.5. This means that it has been dropped on all surfaces and edges onto concrete from a height of 2 meters (or 6.6ft).
The LifeProof Case sells for $79.99 and is available now from their website. Yeah, it’s $80 bucks man. Colors, yeah they got those too. Black, white, pick and purple.
There is also a preorder for the upcoming iPad LifeProof Case release. Pricing on that. To be announced but it would not surprise me to see it hit over a hundred bucks. We have not tested it here, so anyone that can drop a comment on the quality and justify the price would be greatly appreciated.
