Imitation is the best form of flattery, right?

  1. Like ChrisL said, Apple has gotten to the point Microsoft used to be in desktop computing. The user base is so big and so locked in they don’t have to really innovate because they can just strong arm customers and carriers using their brand and user base numbers.

It wasn’t so long ago that Microsoft was being lampooned for lack of innovation and it feels like Apple is aiming more to take all of RIM’s business market instead of slowing Android down on the consumer side.

    This fall will be explosive!

  2. Lol… IOS 5 can’t do IF YOU DONT HAVE AN IPHONE YOU DON’T HAVE AN IPHONE CRAP…WITH THE STUFF THEY COPIED FROM MSFT.. THEY CANNOT CLAIM ITS APPLE.
TO MSFT CAN YOU PLEASE HURRY UP AND RELEASE NEW HARDWARE AND MANGO!!! MSFT STILL HAS LIVE TILES, XBOX,ZUNE,SMART DJ,BUILT IN NAVIGATION ETC AND MORE……

  3. I have a feeling that no matter what anyone else says or does from this moment forward, you’re going to see an overwhelming bias in available news regarding the iOS 5 software update vs Mango. Wait.. why did I even write that out? That’s a given. What’s the WP7 market share again? Right….

I’ll be writing up a follow-up tonight and tomorrow. I have too much to say on this to try and crank it out now.

  4. Ahh, yes. When up against OBVIOUS os flaws you (like Simmons) revert to sales and market shares. Even though you speak it against an OS that’s been out a handful of months.
