Nokia confirms October launch of Windows Phone 8–October 26 makes sense

Let’s quote the NY Times:
The Nokia chief executive, Stephen Elop, said the coming release of Windows Phone 8 software in October, which promises better coordination and more features for computers and smartphones running Microsoft software, would further lift sales of Lumia devices.
This October date has been floated in the past by other manufacturers as well. We know more about October now than before though, like Windows 8 launches October 26. So my money is that on October 26 you can walk into a Best Buy and buy a PC with Windows 8 and a phone with Windows Phone 8 and there will definitely be all sorts of promotions involved. And remember, this is about 90 days off so expect news and phone details to come soon to get us all excited.
