Nokiagate Shows Nokia Stands Behind Its Products– Compare That to Antennaegate
I think this sums it all up:
The one week response by Nokia is incredible speed as well as giving a credit that makes the phone free even for users that may not be impacted and it’s a short term solution. The Nokia issue is a software bug which is relatively minor compared to the hardware failure of the iPhone which Apple buried and then gave nominal compensation after blaming users for holding the phone the wrong way. And this is why I want a Nokia phone. They care about their hardware. They give you exclusive software. And they 110% stand behind their product. Incredible.

Meh. They are standing 110% behind their product because they have to – they’re entering into a make or break push for market share and can’t afford any missteps. Put them in the position of market dominance that Apple enjoys and they’d be passing out $5 trinkets to deal with product issues as well.
