Skype to release “several major releases” yearly for Windows Phones
|Microsoft just posted a new job for a Skype/Windows Phone job. It looks like they are stepping up their development on the platform. The posting reads:
The Skype for Windows Phone Developer develops elegant, robust software that delight and excite our customers. Working as part of a small but highly skilled team of peers delivering several major releases on the platform yearly, the developer will innovate new features, optimize existing ones and drive improvements in the overall performance of the application.
I can’t wait for it to change. I hate getting two messages – one for messenger and one for Skype. And if I accidentally open it in Skype I need to wait for the lag time as the app opens (whereas Messenger is part of texting so it’s always open).
